NANCY COLAS GAILLARD is a Haitian American author and educator from Brooklyn, NY. She is also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, one of the largest educational honors societies. Nancy graduated from St. Francis College with a degree in Childhood Education concentrating in English. Her experience in her Teaching Writing Methods course solidified her desire to write. Needless to say, her inspiration to keep writing derives from teaching students from diverse learning and socio-economic backgrounds.

Through her writing, she hopes to assist in bringing an end to apathetic reading in young readers globally. When Nancy is not reading or writing, she enjoys spending time with her church family at Christian Cultural Center and surrounding herself with people who are purpose-driven and determined to live out their dreams through their faith in Christ. She also loves to cook alongside her husband – a New York City chef – and loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
